Support for people with complex care needs
Ellfin is a specialist provider of home-based support for people with complex care needs including spinal or brain injuries acquired through illness or trauma, and degenerative conditions such as Huntington's disease or multiple sclerosis.
We work with Primary Care Trusts, public and private hospitals, case management organisations and insurance companies, and can also take referrals direct from individuals. People can benefit from receiving individual care in the comfort of their own homes, rather than having to enter residential care, because of the increased choice, independence and feeling of general health and wellbeing that can result.
We provide a wide range of trained carers with specific skills tailored to meet the needs of various degrees of injury or infirmity, providing a flexible home-based alternative to hospital or residential rehabilitation and care. All our complex care staff receive dedicated training tailored to individual client needs.
Our sustained record of success in providing expert support for clients with complex care needs includes:
- Tracheostomy care
- Ventilated care
- Autonomic dysreflexia
- Bowel care
- Passive exercises
- Assisted cough
- PEG and/or Bolus feeding
- Stoma and catheter management
Our bespoke care packages are individually designed to meet the needs of clients with complex care requirements, with a range of visit lengths from half an hour to 24 hours a day, including sit-in or companionship services during the day and sleeping or waking night services during the night, depending on the extent of need. Staffing levels and care packages are tailored to ensure that they are appropriate to clients' needs and can be adapted and changed as those needs change.
